Kapitan Kissa:

The Kapitan Kissa is on various lists as being a Shipwreck of Egypt. The ship did run aground off the coast of Egypt but did not sink.

The ship was originally built as the 5,893 GRT Cargo Ship Komsolomets Byelourus II at the A.Zhdanov Shipyard, Leningrad, Russia. Completed on 01 July 1974, she was powered by a diesel engine and single shaft for a speed of 16 knots, and she was 130 meters in length and 17.8 meters in beam.

In 1993, the ship's name was changed to Kapitan Kissa and re-registered under the Ukranian flag.

On 13 July 1996, while enroute from Jeddah, KSA, to Aqaba, Jordan, the Kapitan Kissa ran aground on a reef in the Straits of Tiran. The reason for grounding is suspected to have been caused by a navigational error. Efforts to re-float the ship were successful and the ship continued on its passage two days later.

This IS NOT a shipwreck. The Kapitan Kissa arrived at Mumbai on 28 August 1998 and was subesequently broken up.
