Thorgrim:
The Thorgrim began life as the 307 Grt whaler Clifford built at Sandefjord (framnaes), Norway (Yard No. 117) for the Fango Corp. (Thor Dahl), Panama. Ship construction was completed in October 1936. She was 38.3 meters in length, 7.8 meters in beam, and had a single propeller. Renamed HMS Thorgrim in 1939 and hired by the British Admiralty for ASW duties in November 1940.
On 08 april 1942, under the command of Lt. J.R. Sparkes, RNR, the ship was attacked and sunk by Italian aircraft off of Alexandria
