| Sarna:
The Sarna was a Whaling vessel of 268 GRT built at Smiths Dock Company, Ltd., South Bank, Middlesborough, UK (Yard No. 933). She was launched 30 July 1930.
Requisitioned for use as a minesweeper during WWII, she was assigned to the 142nd Minesweeping Group in the Mediterranean. No Photo Available
While transiting the Suez Canal on 25 February 1941, under the command of W. T. Allen (RNR), the Sarna struck a mine and sank at kilometer 138. The mine was laid on 22/23 February 1941 by an He 111 from 2./Kampfgeschwader 4 (H. Kuhl RK) based at Maritza air station, Rodos Island. No casualties reported.
