Mount Olympus:

The Mount Olympus was a 6,692 ton steam merchant ship built at Harima Dock Co., Ltd., Harima, Japan as the Dutch ship Toba 32 for Koninklijke Rotterdamsche Lloyd, Rotterdam. Completed in June 1920, she was renamed Nile Maru. She was 425.5 feet in length, 54 feet in beam, 25.8 feet in draught, with a speed of 10 knots.

In 1932 she was purchased by Atlanticos Steamship Co., Ltd., Athens (Kulukundis Shipping Co., SA, Piraeus) for 7,300 Pounds Sterling and renamed Mount Olympus.
On 14 May 1942, while sailing in ballast on the Alexanria-Durban route, she was attacked and sunk by German submarine U-561 (Robert Bartels) with the loss of 3 crewmembers. 27 survivors were rescued. The ship now lies in three sections at position 31.19.45N/32.23.15E.
