Linnel:

The M/V Linnel was a 7,424 Grt. Cargo Vessel built at A. McMillan & Son, Dumbarton (Yard No. 604) and launched on 10 April 1921 for Liverpool, Brazil & River Plate SN Co. In 1934 she was transferred to the Lamport & Holt Line, Ltd. where she provided highly successful service.
The M/V Linnel grounded off of Alexandria, but was later refloated. It was found that the damage to the ship was so severe, that upon her return to the U.K., the decision was made to sell to be broken up. Delivered to Troon 23 August 1939 and broken up.
