Havprins: The Havprins was a 34,230 GRT liquified petrolem gas carrier built at Mediterranee, La Seyne, France (Yard No. 1398) as the M/T Dovertown for Univeral Gas and Oil Inc., Scotland. She was sold during construction to Malmros RED AB, Trelleborg and renamed M/T Malmros Multina in May of 1974. Launched 21 June 1973 and completed 05 June 1974 with a length of 216.4 meters, beam of 32.3 meters,draught of 18.4 meters, and a single diesel providing a maximum speed of 17.5-18 knots. Sold at auction in 1979 to Northern Cold Storage Ltd. (Malmros), England, and renamed M/T Mandrill. Sold again in 1980 to Stena Shipping Line Ltd., Bermuda and renamed M/T STENA Oceanic. 1986, sold to Oceanic SH PTE, Singapore and kept her name. Sold yet again in 1988 to PR gases, Norway and renamed M/T Havprins, managed by Bergesen dy A/S. The M/T Havprins The Havprins ran aground in the Suez Canal on 30 September 1997 at kilometer 125 while northbound. She was ungrounded and completed her passage north.
