| Havprins:
The Havprins was a 34,230 GRT liquified petrolem gas carrier built at Mediterranee, La Seyne, France (Yard No. 1398) as the M/T Dovertown for Univeral Gas and Oil Inc., Scotland. She was sold during construction to Malmros RED AB, Trelleborg and renamed M/T Malmros Multina in May of 1974. Launched 21 June 1973 and completed 05 June 1974 with a length of 216.4 meters, beam of 32.3 meters,draught of 18.4 meters, and a single diesel providing a maximum speed of 17.5-18 knots. Sold at auction in 1979 to Northern Cold Storage Ltd. (Malmros), England, and renamed M/T Mandrill. Sold again in 1980 to Stena Shipping Line Ltd., Bermuda and renamed M/T STENA Oceanic. 1986, sold to Oceanic SH PTE, Singapore and kept her name. Sold yet again in 1988 to PR gases, Norway and renamed M/T Havprins, managed by Bergesen dy A/S.
The M/T Havprins
The Havprins ran aground in the Suez Canal on 30 September 1997 at kilometer 125 while northbound. She was ungrounded and completed her passage north. She was eventually broken up in 2004 in Jiangyin, China
