Bringhi:

Not much information has been found concerning the attack on, and sinking of the Bringhi. What is known is that she was an Egyptian sailing vessel of 200 tons and that on 12 October 1942, she was attacked by German U-Boat U-559 (Hans Heidtmann) at approximate position 32.20N/34.39E northeast of Port Said. The ship was able to sail to Alexandria where she was put on a reef just outside of the harbour's entrance. The vessel eventually broke up and sank at this location.

If you can provide any additional details on this vessel and its sinking please send me an e-mail at "info@shipwrecksofegypt.com". Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
